AMS robotics continues to build its growing reputation and success with its outfield robot technology. Recent highlights include a installation at Stevenage Golf Centre, a trial at Top Golf and an upcoming install at Wycombe Heights Golf Centre.
A UK first in automated outfield maintenance, AMS’s driving range robotic solution automates the traditional costly and time-consuming tasks associated with ball management and outfield mowing. It does this via a simple monthly contract called Range Ball Plan its cost is based on the ball output of your facility.
A standard driving range installation involves the install of a perimeter wire, responsible for emitting a magnetic field that guides the robot lawn mower and ball collector around the outfield. Two charge stations, one for each robot. An automated ball wash and return system, which washes and transports the range balls back to the dispenser.
Alongside the robot technology new robot friendly targets are often introduced, to help revamp the outfield and enhance golfers practice experience.
We have experienced a surge in interest in our outfield robot solution in the last 6 months
said Philip Sear Managing Director of Automated Managed Services Ltd.
More and more golf facilities are embracing the idea of robot technology for maintenance. The efficiency, improved outfield health and cost savings that driving range owners/operators often struggle with when it comes to ball management and turf mowing. We are particularly excited about our automated ball management system being trialled at TopGolf, known for being at the cutting edge in golf entertainment with, so the next few months are looking positive.
With 40+ sites and counting across the UK, AMS looks to expand its client base beyond the golf industry and into sports pitch/field maintenance. Its robotic mowing solution is soon to be installed at Barking FC, ensuring AMS is well on the way to cementing its status as the preferred 21st century choice for outfield maintenance.
