We have compiled a list of the common questions about Belrobotics Robot Mowers. We also have a dedicated FAQ’s Section for more information. Alternatively, you can get in touch with us.

Q: Do I need to install BigMow and ParcMow myself?

No, our experienced team will be there to do it for you!

Q: Is understanding and operating the Belrobotics BigMow or ParcMow difficult and time-consuming?

No, BigMow and ParcMow are both very simple to operate! Once our team has installed your robot you will be shown the key instructions to get started then left with handover documents with everything you need to know. Most customers opt for our additional maintenance package for extra piece of mind.

Q: Do I need to put it on charge once the battery gets low?

No, BigMow and ParcMow are fully autonomous. Once their battery needs charging they will return to their docking station to charge and return by themselves.

Q: Are BigMow and ParcMow noisy?

No, they are virtually silent!

Q: How do I start and stop BigMow and ParcMow?

Press the START button and close the keypad hatch. To stop it, simply press the large STOP button.

Q: Do I require a perimeter wire?

No, not for the GPS RTK models with WiseNav, they operate using a virtual boundary. However, the Connected Line models do still require a perimeter wire. This is laid by our team around the edge of the area to be mowed.

Q: What is the maximum operational area for BigMow and ParcMow?

BigMow will manage up to 75,000 m2 and ParcMow will manage up to 45,000 m2

Q: What should I do if I have an area larger than 75,000 m2 to cover?

Before all installations, a site appraisal and survey will take place to match you with the correct size robot for your area. Whether you need one or two robots, our team will ensure they recommend the correct one for you.

Q: Will I also need an ordinary lawnmower?

No, your robot will cut your desired area beautifully. If desired we would recommend complimenting the edges with a trimmer to get a perfect finish.

Q: How often should I think about changing the blades on BigMow and ParcMow?

We would recommend replacing your blades every 3 months to ensure the best quality of cut.

Q: Can BigMow and ParcMow handle all sorts of grounds?

Whatever you wish to cut with a conventional ride-on mower, you will be able to cut with a robot. All obstacles and uneven ground are fine!

Q: Can BigMow and ParcMow run with fallen leaves, fruits and small branches?

Yes, but we recommend these types of objects should be raked away before allowing the system to run, which will benefit the life of the blades.

Q: I have flower beds and trees that I want to protect. Is this possible?

The physical wire or virtual boundary will be correctly laid/planned around the desired area to be cut. Any large obstacles within the designated wire will be carefully cut around as the robots will use their sensors to locate what is in front of them.

Q: Will moss in my lawn affect the way BigMow and ParcMow run?

No! Continuous mowing will actually improve the quality of the grass in these areas.

Q: What is the lifetime of BigMow and ParcMow’s battery?

The robots will run for a few hours at a time then they will take themselves back to charge for approx an hour then proceed back to mowing.

Q: Will BigMow and ParcMow continue to run in downpours and extreme heat?

The answer is yes. Our robots are designed to face all weather conditions… within reason! The only weather the robot should not run in is if the ground is frozen, or snow.

Q: Is there a theft risk?

With all things, yes. However, if they are stolen, they are pretty useless to anyone as they will not work elsewhere, and have no scrap value. As soon as the machine is tampered with it switches off and sends an alarm to the mobile app.

Q: What maintenance will I need to carry out to ensure my robot is in the best working condition it could be in?

We recommend a large commercial site such as a golf driving range or sports ground 10 minutes every morning to give it a quick wash down inside to remove mud and grass residue. This will ensure there are no blockages and smooth running can continue. If you have a Parcmow on a smaller piece of land you can do the same every day, or once every few days will also be fine.

Q: Can I track my robot’s activity?

Yes, you can, and so can we. In order to ensure the robot is performing correctly, you can monitor and control it from your smartphone app.

Q: How do I ask for support?

Just put a ticket in via our AMS Support app and an engineer will try to get to you within 48 hours!
